About Angel Jake
Angel Jake was created from love, loss, and the desire to help other pet owners feel a little less alone.
For years, dogs have been a deeply important part of my life.
They have been family, routine, comfort, and some of the most meaningful parts of my everyday life.
This site is named after Jake, a dog who taught me how much love can exist in the smallest moments — and how deeply we can feel the absence of an animal who was part of our family.
After caring for dogs through both happy years and difficult health challenges, I realized how often pet owners are left trying to find answers on their own.
We search for symptoms.
We compare products.
We read news stories.
We worry about whether we are doing enough.
And sometimes, what we really need is information that is clear, careful, and written by someone who understands what it feels like to love an animal deeply.
That is why I created Angel Jake.

And I do not want to simply rewrite someone else’s article.

Why the Name “Angel Jake”?
Jake was more than a pet to me.
He was part of my life.
Like many people who have loved and lost a dog, I learned that grief does not disappear just because others may see “only a pet.”
The love was real.
So the loss is real too.
Angel Jake is my way of keeping that love connected to something meaningful.
If one article helps someone notice that their dog needs veterinary care sooner, understand an animal welfare issue more clearly, or feel less alone while caring for an aging or sick dog, then this site is doing what I hoped it would do.
For the Animals We Love
Angel Jake is for the dogs sleeping beside us now.
